PS3 continues to hold its fort against h@cK3rs … But for how long??
Here is a Neat trick to bypass security Level in PS3
Wana try this trick ???
The Ps3 has a security feature built in which is supposed to stop people playing games that are violent etc. This feature is called content protection.
It will allow someone to set the Ps3 up to only allow games up to a certain content level to be played.
An example would be
Need for Speed Carbon = Content Level 5
Fight Night Round three = Content Level 7
Grand Theft Auto Four = Content Level 9
So if a Ps3 was set up to only allow games with a content level of 5 and below you could not play 2 of the above games.
Well now it seems that we have found a way around the issue.
First we will use a defective tiff file (File created by H3r3tic)
save it in a folder called test on a memory card.
Next we need two game
The one we can play and the one we can’t.
Put the game we can play in the ps3 (turn autoplay discs off in settings for this to work)
Now browse to the memory card and attempt to view the tiff file (you may need to select “view all” to get to the folder)
The folder won’t display the tiff – this is normal but you should see in the top right hand side the “ps3 busy icon”
Now press right on the controller and attempt to play the game (the one you always could play)
It wont start and it will freeze.
Now swap the disc for the one that was content protected
Remove the memory card
and the Content Protected game will start.
Here is a little video to demo the work-around
