Windows Media player is designed for Windows 7 , the upcoming Microsoft`s largely hyped operating system.Windows Media Player has been here for more than a decade and still it continues to be the top priority for many .Windows Media player 12 brings in new design and stuff, better than WMP 11. since Windows 7 is under development and WMP 12 is a part of it .. Microsoft is not able to provide WMP 12 for its Loyal vista users. Fear not .. Here is a way to make it work on Vista…

NOTE: Make a bakup of your original files before trying this out!since the author has not warranted that it might go wrong..

You can download WMP12 for Vista from here.

How To Install Windows Media Player 12 in Vista

After downloading, extract the files in your PC.

– Copy “wmploc.dll” to “C:WindowsSystem32″
– Copy Windows Media Player folder to C:\Program Files

Replace C: with your Vista drive letter.
