Recently we heard of Ps3 firmware 2.40 being released.. with that , there are some really hot news comming from the world of PS3 scene..
But for more explosive news (who doesn’t love a pun?) we recently received two special PS3 PUP files from a VERY nice guy. As pictured below, they are PS3 Debug 1.00 (65.5 MB (68,765,224 bytes)) and PS3 Debug 1.50 (72.2 MB (75,762,080 bytes)).

The Ps3 has a security feature built in which is supposed to stop people playing games that are violent etc. This feature is called content protection.
It will allow someone to set the Ps3 up to only allow games up to a certain content level to be played.
An example would be
Need for Speed Carbon = Content Level 5
Fight Night Round three = Content Level 7
Grand Theft Auto Four = Content Level 9
According to recent news over the net… it seems the PS3`s Fort is under heavy attack.But sony`s fort is multi layered defense and even one wall falls there is a secondary defense within the fort..
We had previuosly have discussed why its difficult to hack PS3. And going by the recent spike in the number of attacks… it seems its not all looking good for sony.
